Masopher's Mind

Communists really miss the point. I’ve heard enough to know they love to fly headlong into soft headed idealism and grandiose plans but the truth is that despite all the airy fairy thinking their minds are ground into the here and now and the physical world in front of their face. I’ll tell you why.

Capitalists are selfish creatures indeed but they hold onto one principle, you get yours I get mine and in the end everyone benefits. Capitalists believe in the invisible hand. 1+1+1=4. We all work hard for ourselves and if there ever comes a time when someone needs a hand
the excess work you did will benefit you but in the meantime it benefits us all.

Communists don’t believe in the invisible hand. They believe in the helping hand. You help me and I’ll help you or better yet I’ll help someone else and yet another will help you. A society of altruists happily paying it forward in a never ending ponzi scheme. This is 100% zero sum thinking. 1+1+1=3. Reasonable I suppose, mathematical, atheistic but overly simplistic.
Communists don’t believe in any extra forces or entities being in play hence two men working together aren’t a team but merely comrades. They believe in class conflicts because of this zero sum thinking. The industrialists or entrepreneurs owe the labourers a debt of wealth
because the maker of a shoe nail is as valuable as the seller of a shoe. If the shoe seller knew from the outset that his efforts would afford him no better than the shoe nail maker he wouldn’t have bothered to sell the shoes. Conversely if the shoe nail maker believes
his role is as valuable as a shoe seller, why does he not spontaneously start selling shoes? He can’t because he isn’t good at selling shoes, but hopefully he’s good at making nails and another is good at working leather and the third at making laces.

Industrialists and entrepreneurs are not selling nails or leather or laces they are selling shoes. They are not selling 1+1+1 they are selling 4 which does leave a “mystic” 1 left over after they pay out the worth of the parts. This is not unprecedented. You and I (as valuable as we see ourselves) could easily be disassembled into carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and miscellaneous elements. Under communist logic I should be able to kill you without repercussion because your body pre and post mortem has not changed. Materialism I believe.  Communists reject mysticism. People should get paid not for the value of their ideas but for being pieces
of meat.

Under capitalist logic, the whole is worth more than the parts and that value is in turn used to create and recreate far beyond what a 100-200 lb pile of elements would be able to. The parts don’t go sacrificing themselves for other parts or the idea of the whole either they just work hard for their own purpose and benefit.

Does mankind “owe” the rocks of this planet the wealth that we have created? We are no different from the flower fauna and base minerals after all. Should the sea rise up in revolution to ensure that the salty sweat of our brow does not receive the special treatment of being wiped away by a silk handkerchief? If such a revolution were to happen it would not be the seas will but our own arrogant folly that destroyed us.

Communists don’t understand life. They can’t understand it because they can’t see it weigh it on a scale or put it in their pocket. We all struggle in life, we all struggle with life. No matter how much money one has, we still have to pay bills, find happiness, look for sex, get
sick and die. Getting good things out of life can be a struggle and bad things happen quite easily. It’s because all those elements that made us are just elements and in the end that’s what they return to. Our struggle is to maintain and increase that added value that we call
life. When a perpetually poor man struggles and when a communist struggles they don’t know they are struggling for life and against non- life. They are blind to life and its added value. They look around at another person adding value to their life and all they see is the person. “He’s not struggling against life” the communist says, “He’s struggling against me”. He seems to be winning therefore I must be losing. (Zero sum thinking again) I want him and I to struggle just the same no one should win no one should lose. Nothing new should be created because nothing new can be created. The capitalist and rich man is creating life that may outlast his own the rich man is creating legacy. But the poor commie doesn’t understand this. The commie only understands legacy in the terms that the animals do; mating, plumage, fighting and making noise or gestures. So the commie sets about destroying the rich mans life either by murder or by murdering his legacy, dividing up the spoils so that they can mate, buy plumage, fight, make grand gestures and noises.

Fortunately commies have not murdered every legacy or legacy creator, so there is plenty of legacy left to generate more life. We are still able to generate this value added that benefits us all. How many commies benefit today from capitalist ideas without doing a single thing to actively bring it about? How many use the ideas as nothing more than pass-times to spend their days rather than tools to create wealth and better their lives.
Should it ever come to pass that the capitalists should empower commies enough to bring about their own destruction then it will be due to the capitalists own hubris. Then we will return to living like animals and the value added of mankind will cease to exist. The point that communists miss is that we will go back, not to self sacrificing beasts but to selfish capitalistic creatures.

I’m watching a classic movie set in Vietnam. The American “soldiers” look too fresh faced, their mouths aren’t foul enough. Hamburger Hill.

A few minutes in and it seems to be mostly about buying pussy. Later on they all die, trying to climb a hill.

We tend to forget why everything happens. Life has become so complex that we forget that its all about getting pussy. We killed animals so we could bring home the meat…so we could get pussy. We turned to farming and broke our backs in the sweltering sun so we could make more food…so we could get pussy. We expand the land develop new forms of creating a comfy life, all of which we are doing so that we can get pussy and we run into some other fuckers doing the same thing…and you know what happens? We start fighting. He wants the land to build his crops and houses, I want it to build mine so we gotta have it out so that one of us can make room to get his pussy and maybe even get the other one’s as well.

So the world gets more complex until we are buying and selling complex products, products that don’t physically exist, we sell information we sell friendships we sell everything we can so we can get money…so we can buy pussy. We fight for ever more complex reasons as well. We fight for religion, freedom, communism, racism, capitalism, terrorism. We fight so that after all the fighting is done there are less fuckers left to buy pussy.

We go to school, learn a bunch of shit that helps us to manipulate the world and other people, we go to college and learn even more, get a shitty job, get stuck with a boss that fucks with your mental to keep you working. You meet chicks and fall in love, spend all your lunch-money, pocket-money, summer job money and wages making ‘em feel good but all you’re doing is buying pussy.

In the west we are only allowed one pussy at a time. We are “cheating” if we do otherwise. We men are the ones that are being cheated. Look at the world we have forged! We have tamed the world, created civilization brought the laws of the universe to its knees when all we should be doing is going out and slaughtering an animal and bringing it home.

Only women benefit from the world we have created. We are the builders, we are the creators, the huntsmen, the shepherds, the farmers and artisans, we are the soldiers, the guardians and philosophers and yet we stupidly ceded everything we have done because women wanted “equality”. It was not equality but superiority that women received and now that men are impotent and unable to get pussy the world will begin to die. It will die because without man there is no progress and without progress there is no life.

Back to Hamburger hill…men die a lot. Of course we do. That’s the beauty about us. We are made to die. We are expendable. We don’t have pussies. Pussies want to live forever, that’s why we used to be sent out while they rest up at home. Death defines a man. Death is simple, death is final, death guarantees life. Choose death always.

So with a volcano in Europe, an earthquake in China, health and financial reform in America along with a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico a British election all seems pretty quiet elsewhere. Apart from the racist that was killed in Africa and Thailand being immobilized until the two factions short their shit out, nothing really seems to be hitting the English speaking headlines much. Even the totally awesome fight in the Ukrainian Parliament got little more than a nod. Come to think of it a lot is going on, but people just care more about a Prime Minister calling a bigot “a bigot”.

Masopher suffers from the same “eye of sauron” tunnel vision that most people do. Whatever every single media outlet wants to cover is covered and its as if the rest of the world stops happening. Even Hollywood seems quite muted, yes Downy-Jr’s comic book movie (Ironman 2) will be out on Friday but….it seems like a sideshow. Over the top movies come every week and will continue to do so for the rest of the spring and summer.

Flashy-light movies happen as regularly as bankers fucking over each other and the taxpayer having to bail them out. Rich people have to bear so little responsibility. this furor over Goldman sachs being the mediator of built to fail packages means nothing because it was one greedy hedgefund taking advantage of other greedy hedgefunds…and luckily we dont bail out hedgefunds…yet. Stocks are still rising and oil companies are back to making triple digit profits.

The world is pretty normal. And that’s why I am going to spend some time writing some Masopher stories in he next few weeks. I hope you like ‘em.
