MI5 chief: children are being taught to become terrorists
By Colin Brown, Deputy Political Editor
Published: 06 November 2007

The Independent. Telling one newspaper from the next is becomming as hard as telling one political party from the next. Trash mags are talking maddy today, as they do everyday but today the upper teir mags are talking child terrorists and foreign spies. My favorite topic!

Children as young as 15 are being groomed for terrorist acts in Britain by al-Qa’ida, the head of MI5 has warned.

Scare tactics. With underaged drinking, YOB/asbos/drug culture, the break down of family values and increased infiltration by the overly violent overly sexual American culture, Chilren as young as 6 are being turned into vicious killers and antisocial persons. Show one example of this and I can show you 1000 examples of my claim.

The timing of the speech by Jonathan Evans, 24 hours before the Government unveils its latest programme of anti-terror legislation, was seen by Labour MPs as part of a softening-up process for the extension of the detention of terrorist suspects without charge beyond the current limit of 28 days.

Shoulder to shoulder with American destruction of freedom and Habeus Corpus.

Mr Evans, the director general of the security service, used a Society of Editors conference to give a rare insight into the threat identified by MI5. He said the total number of people who pose a direct threat to national security has risen in the past year, and could be as high as 4,000.

While it is true, if you count rogue agencies, american spies, politicians and business men and it should be four times that amount.

Eliza Manningham-Buller, the former head of MI5, said last year that there were about 1,600|al-Qa’ida supporters in the UK who were actively engaged in terrorist activities and were known to the intelligence services but that figure had risen to about 2,000, said Mr Evans.

The figure almost doubled last week when they were flown in and given red carpet welcome by G B and QE II.

“We suspect that there are as many again that we don’t yet know of,” he said.

Nice round guestimated figures to hide the lack of facts and bring about a little quaking in the collective boots.

He highlighted the way that al-Qa’ida was targeting vulnerable young people as recruits, with teenagers as young as 15 and 16 years old having been implicated in terrorist plots.

Damn news people repeat the same thing 3 times in one article. Its a shame that Mr Evans hasnt said anything else worth printing.

“As I speak, terrorists are methodically and intentionally targeting young people and children in this country,” he said. “They are radicalising, indoctrinating and grooming young, vulnerable people to carry out acts of terrorism.”

deja vu? no look up, its the same sentence reworded.

Terror plots were being directed from the tribal areas of Pakistan where al-Qa’ida’s “core leadership” is based, “often using young British citizens to mount the actual attack”.

Very nicely put word association, terror tribal pakistan (currently experiencing political unrest) al-Qa’ida —>young British citizens! thats the 4th time by the way, in one article.

“This campaign is dynamic and since my predecessor spoke last year, we have seen it evolve further,” said Mr Evans. “We are rightly concerned to protect children from exploitation in other areas. We need to do the same in relation to violent extremism.”

exploitation? like wars? like fear mongering? like consumerism? ok, ill shut up and pay my tax. protect me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The extension of the “al-Qa’ida brand” to new parts of the Middle East and other regions posed a further worrying threat, he added. There were signs that al-Qa’ida in Iraq was seeking to promote attacks outside that country while terrorist training and planning against the UK was being carried out in Somalia.

And who is doing this ‘branding’? (the goveorment and MI-5 perhaps?) people and countries with justifiable problems are branded al-Qa’ida in typical cognitive laziness.

Mr Evans said it was a matter of “some disappointment” that MI5 was still having to deal with “unreconstructed attempts” at spying by countries such as China and Russia, which still had the same number of undeclared intelligence officers in the UK as during the Cold War. “They are resources I would far rather devote to countering the threat from international terrorism – a threat to the whole international community, not just the UK.”

MI-5 and MI-6 have been hiring as well, french agencies, Shin Bet, CIA. Not to mention all the corporate spies and analysts.Spies and saboteurs are big business, stop complaining just get a bigger budget. Or does the govornment need to do more outsourcing?
Watch your job Mr Evans, some corporate cocksure will be playing spy games and advising the Gov if you dont buck up.

An anti-terror Bill will be included in the legislative programme to be unveiled with the Queen’s Speech today. A QC and leading voice on civil liberties on the Labour benches, Bob Marshall-Andrews said he suspected the timing of the speech was linked to the legislation. He will oppose an extension of detention beyond 28 days unless he heard hard evidence that it was necessary. “I have still heard nothing to change my mind,” he said.

Yes I think this was stated earlier in this column, and perhaps again in this same column.

Tony McNulty, the Home Office minister, has said the Government would prefer to extend detention without charge to 56 days.

The shadow Home Secretary David Davis hinted that the Opposition would not support an extension of the detention powers.

You dont dissapoint, Mr. Colin Brown. So to sum it all up, child terrorists, spies and the opposition wont support detaining innocent people for two months.
I could have said as much with far less words. But you get paid to say the same thing 4 times, if I do it they call it stuttering.

WASHINGTON,
Oct. 29 — A fake news conference at the Federal Emergency Management Agency has
produced, along with outrage and ridicule, its first personnel casualty.

John P. Philbin, until last week the agency’s public
relations chief, was supposed to start work Monday as the new director of
public affairs for the nation’s top intelligence official, Mike McConnell.

But he learned instead that he would not.

“We do not normally comment on personnel matters,” said a
statement issued for Mr. McConnell, the director of national intelligence.
“However, we can confirm that Mr. Philbin is not, nor is he scheduled to be,
the director of public affairs.”

Last Tuesday, two days before Mr. Philbin left the FEMA job,
the agency’s deputy administrator held a televised news conference about the California
fires where members of the agency’s staff, pretending to be reporters, asked
him a series of easy questions.

No one has suggested that anybody at the agency set out to
create a bogus event. But officials gave reporters only 15 minutes’ notice to
show up at agency headquarters and then set up a telephone line that allowed
them to listen in, but not ask questions.

With no reporters in the room — only television camera crews
— FEMA’s public affairs department decided to go ahead with the event anyway.
The agency’s own staff played the role of the press corps, posing unusually
respectful questions for the deputy administrator, Vice Adm. Harvey E. Johnson
Jr., retired. “Are you happy with FEMA’s response so far?” one asked.

In an interview Monday, Mr. Philbin said there had been no
intention to deceive the public, just a desire to get information out quickly.

In retrospect, he said, when he realized that no reporters
were in the room and it was the agency’s staff that was asking questions, he
should have called off the news conference.

“I should have jumped up regardless of how awkward it would had
been and said, ‘Wait a minute, time out,’” he said. “My mistake.”

The agency’s administrator, R. David Paulison, who was in
California at the time, has come to the defense of Admiral Johnson, a retired
Coast Guard officer, saying he was “put in a position” by mistakes of the
public affairs staff that have unfairly raised questions about his credibility.

In a memo to FEMA employees Monday, Mr. Paulison said of M.
Philbin, “The failure to properly schedule, or to cancel a press conference
that had no press in attendance, or capability to ask questions telephonically,
represented egregious decision making by the director of external affairs and
his staff.”

From now on, Mr. Paulison said, reporters will always get
adequate advance notice of news conferences.

“Finally, under no circumstances will anyone other than
media be allowed to ask questions at press events,” Mr. Paulison’s statement
said.

So far, it looks as if no others will lose their jobs over
the incident, but the public affairs office is being reshuffled. As of Monday,
Russ Knocke, the press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security,
FEMA’s parent, has been temporarily transferred to the agency to supervise the
press operation.

The development has been enormously embarrassing for the
agency, which is still struggling to rebuild its reputation after its
universally criticized response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

De ja Vu?

This has happened before, bloated government clowns.

Seems like the home office is in the habit of letting illegals work for them. Funny how I a fully legal citizen with more than enough qualifications to run the home office cant get a job there but the guy they call to escort me out is a semi-literate illegal immigrant.

Its like this news is made up just to piss me off. And its not against the illegals. Mostly security guards and really ancillary staff I wager. Nothing more ’sensitive’ than the middle names and sexual predilections of the faggots in whitehall old boys club. But then again a politicians paraphelia does endanger national security if one was to say take a ‘guardies’ drunken rambling at face value.
They like I just want an honest job even if they unlike I go about getting that job dishonestly, I have lived abroad for most of my life and if bureaucracy is going to prevent whomever from employing a brilliant guy like me then so be it. I guess I don’t want to work for the kind of boss who hires illegal immigrants anyway. Not to mention the part about molesting kids, ass pumping, coke snorting, taking backhanders and other miscreant behavior, least of which is allowing a few ardent Africans or Eastern Europeans from earning a few pounds.

But who will I work for? Not crooks and not idiots then who? Myself, but I also need people to develop with and learn from similar to the early 20th century cells of genius in the USA or the various European cells of the previous centuries.

I really need to develop my confidence to do what must be done. I must let my light shine and obliterate the ignorant darkness of politics, racism and discrimination that these people hide in.
