There are 23 million miserable people living in the northern part of the eastern Asian peninsula called Korea.
When the USA kicked Japans ass in WWII, Korea became free game to the Chinese, Russian and victorious American forces. South Korea was occupied by the Americans, the North by China and from this occupied country, two occupied countries emerged, one communist the other capitalist. No where else in the world except in Germany did such a mashup exist, and once east germany rejoined Europe, North Korea stood alone, trading dangerous technology with renegade states like Iran, Syria and Venezuela. North Korea also leans heavily on China and post Communist Russia but mostly North Korea blackmails Japan and the United States with barely working missiles and laboratory made nuclear explosions.
Japan one of the world’s wealthiest nations, the USA, the worlds current empire and South Korea the manufacturing and technological student of the first two have reasons to worry about a nation in its death throes. Unlike the still functioning Russians and the successful neo-capitalist Chinese, the North Koreans have nothing but aging technology and an even more antiquated ideology to live on. Barely any electricity, fallow crops, international ostracism, a dying overpopulated land filled with depressed and disillusioned people.
While their literal cousins in the south work in a capitalist system they slave away under a communist system where detonating a nuke is the only state dictated source of pride. Instead of enjoying small victories in their personal lives, blowing up a bomb and threatening other countries is the only thing they have to be happy about.
Seriously. Fuck you North Korean workers party. 23 million of your own people held hostage under your backward system and millions more under threat by your backwards technology. Make communism work or shut the fuck up.
