A politicians words
Every time I see a politician open his mouth all I hear is “please vote for me”. When the opposition opens his mouth I hear “whatever is being done won’t work or was stolen by the incumbent, please vote for me.” When an incumbent opens his mouth is “look at my ideas, the opposition doesn’t have any better ones, please vote for me”. And the most simple of us don’t vote because we know it won’t make a god damn difference and the less simple vote because they think it will. The more complex of us vote because we hope it will be different and the most complex of us buy the election knowing that having a politician in their pocket makes all the difference.
I can never beleive in a politician. Even the most noble minded of them must exist in a world of complete selfishness. Even the most noble of intentions will be subjugated to the raw bestial nature of man. Man is still an animal and everything that comes out of his mouth is nothing buy baying at the moon.
